“For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”
“I think it matters whether someone has a good heart.” Elon Musk
Too many times we judge people by their outward appearance; we look at what they wear, what they drive, and where they live. None of these things really matters when it comes to a person’s character. A person’s character far outweighs a person’s possession. The heart of a person determines a person’s character. The heart is the internal workings of a person. It’s the part that you can’t see physically but you know it through a person’s actions. It is the essence of a person and you get to know the heart of a person by its actions. A person’s dealings and interaction are indicators of a person’s true heart.
I am a big believer in physically fitness and health but that doesn’t take the place of having a good and pure heart. Too many times people focus on their external being and not their internal being, the heart. As a society we put a lot of focus on a person’s external physique which has falsely lead people to believe their self worth and value is based on how they look. I want to encourage you to find your inner self value not according to your outer physicality but know that what lies in you are amazing gifts and talents. You are created in the likeness and image of God, with a beautiful inner spirit. So focus on developing a better inner you. Focus all your energy on creating a heart that produces fruit of joy, peace, and love. A heart that is willing to help those in need, a heart that seek to find common ground with all men, a heart that gives more than receives, a heart that loves unconditionally, a heart that forgives and a heart that find the good in every man. God sees your true heart so build a better you by building a better heart.
