2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. (KJV)
“Seeds of faith are always within us; sometimes it takes a crisis to nourish and encourage their growth.” -Susan L. Taylor
As we continue to experience the current world health crisis of COVID-19, where do we turn? How do we sustain ourselves during these dark and difficult days? Our faith is the anchor and source of our ability to withstand and endure any crisis. We must withdraw from our faith in God and not be overwhelmed with what we are seeing or experiencing. Faith is that rock that we stand on during times like these. It is our Faith that we lean on when the inevitable of what we are encountering during this Crisis. According to Chinese language, the word crisis is not in their dictionary or ever used. Crisis is described as “opportunity” in the Chinese language. Therefore, the question is, what opportunities are there for you to seize during this crisis? For example, if your business shut the doors, maybe it’s an opportunity to start your own business. If your children are having to learn virtually, then maybe this is an opportunity for you to draw closer to your child. Regardless of what you are currently experiencing during this Pandemic, change your perspective and look for the opportunities in this crisis. It is those opportunities that causes you to walk by faith and not by sight. It is finding your opportunity in a difficult situation and rising above the storms of life. Finally, walking by faith is believing God can and will see you through these difficult days. Despite some days, you may feel not as full of faith, nevertheless, continue to believe and trust God no matter what!
