Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
“Vision” – in the Hebrew means…dream, revelation, mental picture…
“Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly” Langston Hughes
Many of us at an early age had big dreams of becoming or doing something special. Yet as we matured and experienced life our dreams changed or we simply stop believing in those dreams for one or another reason. I have learned that dreams are powerful in that our dreams give a mental view of what’s to come or the possibility when one truly positions him/herself to accomplish those dreams. I know many of you have become discouraged that your life hasn’t turned out as you dreamed but I want you to take this time to reassess and reevaluate what you have achieved, what you are currently doing and look ahead to a future that you can achieve more. It’s not too late to recalibrate your dream and passion. Yes time may have come and gone, but as long as you are living there is hope to dream. Maybe you can no longer accomplish some of those dreams from your childhood past but you can dream again according to where you are now. I encourage you to pray and seek God for a vision/dream for you to achieve from this point on in your life. Maybe you want to start your own business, maybe you desire to get married or remarried, maybe you desire to go back to college and enroll in a course, or maybe you want to take up a hobby. Whatever those dreams are that lie deep within the depths of your soul and spirit I encourage you to dream again. Finally, it takes courage to dream again and it takes faith to execute your dream so know that God will give you the strength and provision to accomplish your God given dream. It’s time to dream again!
