“Don’t limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve.” Mary Kay Ash
As we embark upon a New Year we must closely examine our live from different perspectives. It’s the time of year where we look back in retrospect and start the process of making New Year’s resolutions. I have learned that a New Year’s resolution is only as good as your mindset. According to Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Therefore your mindset must be transformed in order to truly achieve your New Year’s resolution. The question becomes how do you truly take on a new mindset and the answer is by reading scriptures to give you a continual perspective of how God view things. The mind can’t be changed without the Word of God. When we truly read and meditate on God’s word it positions us to view ourselves differently which in turn helps us to grow and develop. In addition the word of God helps us to view our situations differently as well as desire to become different. Transformation is an amazing process. No matter how much you are determined to change without a paradigm shift in your mind you will always think and behave the same. However with a transformed mind then you can and will experience true transformation.
A transformed mind is to possess and apply new information in that you embrace new information so you can experience different results. At times it is not new information it can be something that you’ve known but you become open to the thought or idea. It’s where you are willing to discipline yourself to adhere to what you’ve always known to be true. Many of you know what you desire to become or want to accomplish but your mind is not in a place of accomplishing such desire. Get a transformed mind and you will transform your life and your desired outcome. A New Year’s resolution can’t lead to something new without a New Mindset thus transform your mind and you’ll transform your life.
