Vision – Dream Again
Proverbs 29:18, “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”
“Dare to live the life you have dreamed for yourself. Go forward and make your dreams come true.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
As you commence another year, I want to encourage you that you must awaken to the dream that lies within your heart and soul. That dream is there for a reason. Could it be God’s purpose for your life and you to continue to abort it (not moving ahead) because of fear and excuses? This is the year to Dream Again and move out in what you have dreamed. If something is from God, and you can’t get past it or get it out of your inner spirit, then it’s for you to take ahold of it. If you do not, then you will never be fulfilled on earth. Here are three things you’ll need to do to start on your dream:
- Vision – Write down what’s in your heart. Write what you see! At this point do not worry about how it will get done.
- Investment – Write down what it will take to get started. Meaning if you have to go back to school, learn a new skill and make an investment. For example, if you love photography then the investment would be a camera.
- Adjustment – Write down the adjustments you’ll need to make to get started. The adjustments would be what do you have to eliminate or modify in your life to get started. Whenever I start something new I make an assessment and determine what adjustments I would need to make. What are you willing to give up (sacrifice) to make sure this time you get started!
Do not get frustrated if things are not going as quick as you desire. Keep planting the seeds and eventually the harvest will come. The greatest challenge with accomplishing your dream is transforming your mindset and behavior to align with your dream. This is a transformation process.
